Our Travels contain collections of photographs taken during our many and various travels around the world. Our Travels are grouped by date into 6 sections. Click on the Our Travels menu above to move between these sections.
We have created Web Albums using jAlbum and Slideshows using Photomagico with selected photographs from each of Our Travels. These have been summarised as multi-page PDFs that can be viewed below the description of each of Our Travels.

Our 4-wheel drive bus left from Cairns to Port Douglas, Daintree NP, Cape Tribulation, Bloomfield Track and Cooktown. Then north-west to Laura, Lakefield NP, Lotus Bird Lodge (surely the highlight of the trip), Coen and Weipa with bauxite mine.
From Weipa north on the Telegraph Track past Batavia Downs, Moreton Telegraph Station, Fruit Bat Falls (good swimming spot) and Bamaga. Then to the Tip (the northernmost point of mainland Australia). We returned to Bamaga via Somerset Beach with Memorial to Kennedy and group photograph.
The bus returned to Cairns while we went to Thursday Island with the Green Hill Fort and Gab Titui Cultural Centre. We visited the pearl farm on Friday Island and went to Horn Island to explore World War 2 remains and join our plane back to Cairns.
Many thanks to John and Maxine our driver and guide team.

A small group tour (mainly by bus) starting in Singapore, then on through Malaysia with stops in Malacca, Kuala Lumpur and Penang. We ended up on Langkawi where we indulged with some extra nights at the Berjaya Resort.
We had a great time with our fellow travellers and our special guide.

We started our trip with a quick visit to our friend Susan at Woodend before getting a small plane to Flinders Island. Our hosts took us all over the island, and we vowed to go back (which we did).
Then to Lemonthyme Lodge (near Cradle Mountain) for a spot of indulgence and good walks. We then drove to Richmond (our base for the next few days).
Our first trip was a circumnavigation of Maria Island. Next day we visited the popular Mt Field National Park (with its great waterfalls). We then flew to Melaleuca in SW Tasmania for Dave, who had been there as a student.
Finally, an extraordinary Freycinet "Art of Nature" Experience involving MONA, their lodge at Friendly Beaches (again) and Windgrove (near Port Arthur).
What a trip!

The highlights of this wonderful trip included:
Our driver/guide did an excellent job of looking after us (and the bus) and showing us all those wonderful places.
The size of the Web Albums and Slideshows, for this trip, was too large for a single PDF, so the Slideshow's Contact Sheets have been placed in a second PDF.

A nice holiday at one of our favourite locations - O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat in the Lamington National Park at the southern edge of Queensland.
A nice spot for escaping from everything - doing walks, other activities, eating great food, whatever...

After a very heavy rain trip to Canberra to see friends, we drove to Jindabyne and the Lake Crackenback Resort.
From Thredbo we had a wonderful day on the chairlift up to Eagles Nest and walking part of the Kosciuszko Summit Track (before the lighting started). On the following days we explored around Lake Jindabyne and walked one of the local tracks.
We drove the Alpine Way over to Tumut on another very wet day. Finally another gorgeous day allowed us to explore east and south of Tumut.
Our holiday finished in Orange catching up on the news.
