Malolo Islands, Fiji
One more off Dave's bucket list. Our first trip to Fiji was to one of the many island resorts to the west of the main island.
The Malolo Cat meant that getting on and off the island was easy compared with some other resorts.
Darwin and Seven Spirit Bay with Outback Spirit
At last, we finally went on our Outback Spirit tour. Thanks to Covid-19, this trip was very different from our original plan but turned out to be well worth the wait.
Highlights included the wonderful scenery, lots of good food, nice accommodation and a great group of fellow travellers.
Cape to Cape Track with Walk Into Luxury
Our wonderful holiday with Walk Into Luxury of parts of the Cape to Cape Track, in the south-west of Western Australia. We had a very nice day in Perth before our walk catching up with friends.
After the walk we took a ferry ride down the Swan River from Perth to Fremantle and back for a final dinner before flying home - just before Covid-19 restrictions were announced.
Antarctic Basecamp cruise with World Expeditions and Oceanwide
We were specially lucky with calm crossings and good weather except for one foggy day. Lots of penguins and sea birds. A few seals and some distant whales. It was hard not to take too many photos as the scenery is so photogenic. Mastered the zodiacs, snowshoes and warm clothing.
Oceanwide's MV Ortelius was great with only 200+ wonderful passengers plus marvellous crew under Captain Yuri. The meals were pretty special as well. The incredible expedition staff were ably led by Clouds and supported by an amazing group of people including Dr Karl!
Three Capes Lodge Walk with Tasmanian Walking Company
The Tasmanian Walking Company's Three Capes Lodge Walk is one of the best ways to experience this spectacular part of Australia. Most of us have seen pictures of the sea cliffs but have never experienced them from the land.
We were lucky with the weather with rain on only part of one day. The track is fairly easy except there are a many steps and some boardwalk. Many thanks to our great guides and band of fellow walkers for a most memorable experience.
